Meet Evan Brockmeier

The Marietta office of Commonwealth Financial Services is excited to announce the addition of Evan Brockmeier to our growing team. He will be working on the licensing requirements to become a financial advisor.

Evan is a Marietta native and a graduate of Marietta High School (2009). At Marietta College, he earned his degree in Petroleum Engineering (2013). During his school days, he was a standout baseball player, earning All-Ohio honors in high school. At Marietta College, he was a keycontributor—playing third base, first base, shortstop, and pitcher—for the ‘Etta Express. He was an Academic All-American and two-time National Champion.

After graduation, Evan worked for Chevron in California and Pennsylvania. He later returned to Marietta and began working for Marietta College primarily in their advancement office.

“As a former engineer and fundraiser in higher education, I find purpose in helping others fulfill their dreams, regardless of how challenging they seem.” He adds, “One of my core beliefs is ‘make no small plans, for they have no power to stir the soul.’ My goal is to help guide our clients to those soul-stirring plans.”

Financial Advisor, Neal Watson, says “We are extremely excited to have Evan join our team. He is an impressive and intelligent young man. The moment you shake his hand, you get the feeling that you are the most important person in the room.”

Evan is married to Alyson, and together they are raising three energetic children.

“Our family has been in our community for more than 35 years, helping others reach their most-cherished goals” added Neal. “Adding Evan to our team will ensure we can continue to do so for many years in the future. His values and core beliefs align strongly with Dad’s and mine. We are ecstatic to add him to our family.”

Outside of work, Evan loves golfing, working in the yard, and being outside with his kids. He loves the orange and black of Marietta High and the Navy Blue and White of Marietta College having played and coached for both schools.
